We have added a new activity area to the camp.  In order to add to our outdoor educational program, we have built the “OroQuay Mining Co.” The area has two horizontal mine shafts, one collapsed vertical shaft, ore carts, a wood water tower, and soon a new fire pit and seating.  This new area will allow for more intimate setting for teaching.  Soon we hope to add gold panning in our sluice box and an assayer’s office to help children understand the economy of the gold industry in the 1800s.
