We are excited to begin our 2010 camp season!

We have made some improvements over the winter that we hope you will enjoy and be blessed by. First is concrete. We have replace concrete in many of the traffic areas around the camp, the barn and apartments being a few of them. We hope to do more concrete repairs this fall. Second, we have added to our animal yard a milking cow, Rachel, and a goat, Freddie. We hope that you enjoy them while you visit. Lastly, we are redoing the dorm bathrooms! They are in their last stages and should be ready for use this summer.

Thank you to all who have supported us this year, we could not do it without you. We hope to continue making improvements for your safety, convience, and pleasure.

Oro Quay Mining Co.

We have added a new activity area to the camp.  In order to add to our outdoor educational program, we have built the “OroQuay Mining Co.” The area has two horizontal mine shafts, one collapsed vertical shaft, ore carts, a wood water tower, and soon a new fire pit and seating.  This new area will allow for more intimate setting for teaching.  Soon we hope to add gold panning in our sluice box and an assayer’s office to help children understand the economy of the gold industry in the 1800s. Check for photos they should be posted soon.

We had a wonderful turnout for our Spring open house. There were about 60 to 70 folks who came out and met our board members and staff, toured the camp, and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Thanks to all that came.

Singing Hills Ministries welcomes Holly Lionbarger as the newest member of the board.  Holly and her husband John have four children and been a tremendous asset to our ministry.  Her professionalism as a pharmacist and tenderness as a mother will be greatly valued as we continue to grow.
